Public prayer services of the Church.

Feast days dedicated to our Lord Jesus Christ.

On the last Friday evening of most months (and sometimes on other days) we celebrate an all-night service for the feast of the following day. These services begin with the Small Compline at 7:00pm, immediately followed by Vespers, then Orthros and concluding with the Divine Liturgy. The Divine Liturgy typically concludes at around midnight and is usually followed by a simple communal meal (lovingly prepared by our Philoptochos) in the adjacent hall.

These are the feast days for the more important saints and events in our Church calendar. On such days we celebrate Orthos commencing at 7:30am, immediately followed by the Divine Liturgy. The time at which the service concludes varies but they will typically conclude at around 10:30am, or around 11:00am on Sundays when a sermon is usually given.

These are the feast days for the lesser saints in our Church calendar. On such days we celebrate Orthos commencing at 7:30am, immediately followed by the Divine Liturgy. The time at which the service concludes varies but they will typically conclude at around 10:30am, or around 11:00am on Sundays when a sermon is usually given.

At various times during the week and especially during periods of solemn fasting (eg, during the Great Lent Fast leading up to Pascha) we conduct many small prayer services such as Paraklesis and Compline. Additionally we typically celebrate Vespers (usually at 6:00pm) on Saturday evenings in preparation for the Divine Liturgy the following day, as well as for selected major feasts (eg, for our Patron Saints).

Fasting periods of our Church.

During the year we have fellowship events where we gather together to discuss and learn about our faith. These sessions are usually run by Father Silouan and there are sessions for both Greek and English speakers.

From time to time our Parish will hold various events that have an element of "fundraising" to them. While nominally listed as "fundraising" events, such events serve a second, even more important role in fostering a sense of community in our parish - bringing our parishioners closer to each other and to God.
